Hi Bill,

I just love a good winter blast! It is invigorating. I live at the base of Rattlesnake Ledge in North Bend and we have about a foot and a half on the ground. I purchased a backhoe this year for plowing and to do some land clearing around the property. I ran into an ambitious 23 year old operator who comes up and helps me out from time to time. When he finished plowing yesterday I challenged him to drive down into North Bend and solicit snowed in businesses and home owners. He's currently still going and has made well over $1K so far and he is making a name for himself. Ofcourse he owes me a full tank of diesel and some road maintenance in return for the use
of my machine. I hope this experience is influential in this young man realizing his dream of starting his own excavation company. I am always inspired when I run across somoeone with a true work ethic.

Yikes! It's been two hours since I wrote the article. I did shovel about an inch off my driveway. Now, it looks like another inch or so is out there.

Bill, well said.
I rember fondly the old commercials where they said "three out of four dentists surveyed.....". Which dentists were surveyed? Carefully prepared statistics seem to serve their careful purveyor.

See you.
